There are thin spaces on either side of the mouse wheel, which dust and dirt can get in over time, causing issues with the wheel's scrolling.
You can also try installing the latest mouse drivers for your operating system from the mouse manufacturer's website. If your computer has an operating system other than Microsoft Windows, we suggest trying to reinstall the software that came with the mouse.
